Scholarship Recipient – Nigel D.

This is Nigel, a bright child with only a single, poverty-stricken father in his life.  Nigel comes from the Eastern part of Uganda, a region nearly paralyzed by poverty, showing ranges of 60-94% poverty, based on Word Bank’s Monetary Poverty Headcount statistics.

This young student comes to MST from a region where it is hardly possible for children to visualize an opportunity outside of just surviving.  He shows exceptional intelligence, and a deep desire to learn.  We will support Nigel, including the travel costs, costs of field trips, books, and other supplies for the duration of Junior School at MST.  He will board there, learn about the Math, Science, and Technology of farming.  He will enjoy three meals per day, snacks, clean water, and the compassionate care of the school’s directors and staff.

We, at STEM is for Everyone, Inc, believe that Nigel has great purpose.  We are honored to help him as he continues to study and excel in Math, Science, Technology, and Farming.  We hope that by supporting children from this region, we are supporting a better, more self-sustaining East Uganda through education in the business, science, and technology of farming.
