Food, Drink, and Dress Code

What is the Dress Code?

Generally speaking, event attendees range from smart casual to business / cocktail attire, but we invite you to join our “I Wear Green” campaign Green!   Whether it is a hint of green, or a head-to-toe statement, wear it proudly.  Take a selfie, or have your photo taken, tag us, #IWearGreenForSTEM, and be entered into the “Who Wore It Best” Competition!

What if I don’t own anything green?

We will provide some green accessories, including our gorgeous, hand-woven silk Pocket Squares and Twillie’s.  (trust us, you will want to wear these after the event as well).  They will be available for a suggested donation of £25 GBP each.

Is there a prize for who wore it best?

Votes will be collected at the event. The prize – bragging rights!

Will there be vegetarian, gluten free, or vegan options?

Yes, Brigadier’s is absolutely delighted to offer all of these options.  If you have not specified your preferences on the ticket purchase, no worries.  You can let the servers at Brigadier’s know and they will ensure your specific needs are addressed.

Ticket and Registration

What’s included with my ticket?

There will be a full buffet-style dinner, passed canapés, and a full, five-hour open bar.  We will also offer entertainment, a croupier, DJ, and dance floor.

How do I purchase tickets or register as a guest of a sponsor?

This is a sponsor-supported event.  You may receive an invitation from a sponsor to attend as their guest, or you may purchase your own ticket by way of this link.

Will it be possible to purchase a ticket at the door?

Yes, assuming the event is not overbooked.  Admission is by QR only. You’ll receive a lovely Green “STEM is for Everyone” bracelet to access all food and beverage station’s.  Ticket purchase in advance is strongly recommended as the event is expected to reach capacity.  But we understand about last minute openings.  For that reason, there will be a QR scan to allow the purchase of tickets at the front desk.

Payment Options

QR and contactless payments only, please.  (No need to dust off the cheque book)

Is it possible to purchase tickets in GBP rather than USD?

Sadly, no.  Our Ticket Provider (TicketSource) required that we chose one currency only.  Since SFE is a U.S. based organization, we chose USD for ease of administration.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets can be transferred by emailing us at contact@stemisforeveryone.org

Do I need to bring a printed ticket or is a digital entry fine?

Yes, matter of fact, digital is preferred!  (Save a Tree!)

Can we arrive after dinner, without having to pay the full ticket price?

Yes, night-cappers are welcome!   Individuals who wish to come by after dinner, may purchase tickets at the door from 9pm onward for a discounted entry fee of $50 for service providers, and $0 for Market Members.

Social Media and Photography

Will my photo be taken and used for marketing purpose?

Possibly, yes.  The terms and conditions in your ticket purchase outline how photos may be used by STEM.  If you are not in agreement, simply email us at contact@stemisforeveryone.org and advise us of your wishes to refrain from showing your face in the photos.

Can I take photos or video during the event?

Yes, we’d love it if you’d take photos, tag us, but please be kind – no flash photography, and avoid capturing guests in unflattering circumstances…(mid-bite / mid-boogie… we don’t want anyone going viral for the wrong reasons!)

How do I follow, tag, or mention the charity on social media?

We have a LinkedIn Page and a profile on Instagram.  Please follow us there, and tag, tag, tag!

Our Mission and Beneficiaries

Mission / impact

Our mission is to help our industry and humanity thrive by inspiring equal opportunity to an education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  We are ensuring equitable education for underserved communities around the world – breaking the cycles of generational poverty, and opening doors to skilled labor and technical professions.  We provide tens of thousands of dollars of support to our beneficiaries every year in equipment, supplies, real estate, and scholarships.

Who does this event benefit?

This year, proceeds will be to the benefit of two schools / programs.

  1. The InovTech STEM Center in Accra, Ghana who is spearheading a groundbreaking “Adopt a School” program in their country. Adopt a School brings STEM fundamentals into public schools one school at a time.  They provide all equipment, supplies, teachers, and teacher training to ensure children’s interest is sparked, and fundamental skills are learned.
  2. The MST Junior School in Uganda offers Math, Science, and Technology centered around the vocation of farming! They recruit children from all over Uganda, including the poorest towns and villages in the North.  Their Scholarship program easily reached capacity every year.  Their existing scholarship boarding students lack the resources to pay for ancillary and extracurricular expenses such as travel, field trips, pencils, pens, their own clothing.  We are increasing the number of children included in the scholarship program, and our scholarships will cover all cost including travel, keeping them connected to their families, and field trips, keeping them involved in every way with their peers.

How can I learn more about the beneficiaries, how they are chosen, and how to nominate a school or program?

Oh, this is our favorite question!  Visit our Beneficiaries Page on our website to learn about our existing beneficiaries and the beneficiary selection process.
