I Wear Green – LEA 5K to Benefit SFE

When you see people lining up in green at the LEA 5K, know this: they’re not just running for a finish line—they’re running for opportunity.

The LEA 5K proudly benefits STEM is for Everyone, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to science, technology, engineering, and math education for students in underserved communities around the world. Wearing green is our way of saying everyone deserves a chance to learn, innovate, and build a future—no matter where they’re born or what resources they have.

Why Green?

Green represents growth, possibility, and forward momentum—the very things STEM education provides. It’s the color of curiosity taking root, of ideas turning into skills, and of students discovering pathways they may never have thought possible due to a lack of support, funding, and education.

When we wear green, we’re standing in solidarity with:

  • Students who lack access to basic STEM resources
  • Communities where education can change generational outcomes
  • Future engineers, scientists, and innovators who simply need opportunity

The Power of the Our Community

Throughout the week, participants, supporters, and members of the insurance claims community are encouraged to wear green as a visible show of support for global access to STEM education.

Wearing green all week helps turn a single event into a shared movement. Post your pictures to Linkedin and Instagram and use the hashtag #iweargreenforstem.

I wear green for STEM.
I wear green for
access.
I wear green for
opportunity.
